Urban portraits

A collection of urban portraits photographed in cities in the Netherlands and abroad, with a particular focus on London.

These portraits are part of my street photography, where I look for spontaneous encounters, interesting characters and moments that reveal something about life in the city. Rather than staged portraits, I photograph people as I find them — often in the middle of everyday life, surrounded by the streets and architecture of their city.

London is a recurring subject in this work. Its diverse streets, neighbourhoods and people offer an endless source of inspiration, from quiet, unnoticed moments to striking characters and encounters.
